This is a great book.  We have it in our genealogy library and have used it a lot to help us with our cemetery research.  There are some very interesting facts in this book.  It’s easy to follow and very helpful.  We highly recommend it if you do any type of cemetery research or ghost hunting.

Excellent book for ghost hunters!  We bought this book for our nephew who is a “Ghost Hunter” and he loves it.

If you are into the Civil War, or just like visiting Gettysburg, this book is a ‘must have’.  We love Gettysburg and the history there.  If you’ve ever been, you know how hard it is to get enough of it.  You can go there over and over again and still learn something new each time you go.  Some of the stories of Gettysburg are absolutely amazing!  A very prominent place in our history.

From unsanitary pits to today's "green" cemeteries, Rest in Peace explores the evolution of burial practices and how they reflect the history and culture of the United States. Interspersed with primary source quotations and fascinating photographs, the book offers an unusual window in to the expression of American cultural identity across the ages.

This book takes you through many of the best known and more obscure cemeteries in Colorado. It’s a very helpful book and a very handy cemetery research tool. Linda Wommack gives serious history buffs this nice book for our research libraries, or for anyone interested in the least little bit.  From the Grave is a good investment for any researcher.

Never before has there been such a thorough study on contemporary mourners use the cemetery.  This book takes a look into cemeteries in Western Society today.  It is very interesting and helpful for any cemetery researcher.

This looks like a very good book and one we would be interested in adding to our library.

Great for Tombstone Rubbing...
Gravestone, monument, and brass rubbing; the process of capturing relief impressions of lettering, carvings or designs from stone or brass plates.  It is an ancient and beautiful art with widespread contemporary appeal.  This all-inclusive kit has everything needed to start creating beautiful rubbings: a 60-page book filled with a history of the craft and instructions; a natural-bristle wooden brush for cleaning surfaces; two large blocks of rubbing wax, masking tape, and five sheets of 24 x 36 inch high-quality cloth-like paper.

This book focuses on cemeteries of one community in Canada. The changing roles of cemeteries in modern life. There has been tremendous changes in North American cemetery administration through the last century. Cemeteries are currently mostly maintained through the local municipal government vs. religious properties. This book concentrates on the city of Hamilton, Ontario. From Talcott Parsons, Max Weber and Michel Foucault, Cemeteries and the Control of Bodies suggests that the change in cemetery administration is due to the rise of professionalization and bureaucratization, mostly related to health care and funeral care.

We also have this book in our genealogy library.  We highly recommend this book to anyone who does research.  We have used it many times, and it has been very helpful to us in our cemetery research, as well as our genealogy research.

This is a book on the meaning and the beauty of Arlington Cemetery. There are over 200 full-color photos of Arlington Cemetery during all four seasons, with the beautiful colors and natural beauty surrounding it. Each military branch  is represented also, with wonderful photos of ceremonies and many of the unique and interesting gravesites at Arlington Cemetery.

Product Description by Amazon
Tales Behind the Tombstones tells the stories behind the deaths (or supposed deaths) and burials of the Old West's most nefarious outlaws, notorious women, and celebrated lawmen. Readers will learn the story behind Calamity Jane's wish to be buried next to Wild Bill Hickok, discover how and where the Earp brothers came to be buried, and visit the sites of tombs long forgotten while legends have lived on.

This is a very good book… it has very detailed information on grave stones and a lot of local information.  Even if you are not from the area, this is a very good book and I think anyone would find it interesting.  Worth reading if you are into cemeteries in any way!

This looks very interesting, about an old Savannah family.  A lady (Olivia) who raises her niece and nephew after their mother dies.  They live in the family home, which is across the street from Forsyth Park.  The ghost of the man who built this home has come to keep his promise to his wife about the home...
